An update to the election sign bylaw was passed at the March 18th 2026 council meeting and is in effect for the 2026 Municipal Election cycle and beyond. The bylaw now includes fines (as a deterrent) in addition to seizure of illegally placed signs. All candidates should familiarize themselves with the bylaw so they don’t have their signs removed and be issued fines for placing them in prohibited locations.
