Once the terms of reference are defined and approved by Council, this new committee can get started. Managing expectation is going to be a struggle as there may be things want to do that are just not possible being the lower tier of government in Simcoe County. However, all options will be on the table until they are either ruled impractical, impossible or un-fundable. We will be looking for partnerships and input from the many resources already in our community that know this issue far better than we do and see what is achievable in the near / short term while we work on longer term sustainable solutions. Councillors Prost, McGinn and I will be meeting to draft up these terms of reference in the next couple weeks.
These articles covers the story from this past week’s Council meeting very well.
