Parking & Public Access To Resume At Tiny Township Public Beaches In 2025?

Listen to this article

This could be a huge win for Midland and our North Simcoe neighbours! I have been lobbying for this with Mayor Evans and Deputy Mayor Miskamins for a couple years now and in the meantime, Midland Council has attempted to make the Tiny Twp beaches more accessible in 2024 by funding a shuttle service for our residents.

Tiny Township Beach Access Could Resume In 2025

While watching their June 5th Committee of the Whole, I was elated to witness Tiny Twp Council unanimously approve a revisit of their no-parking stance around access to public beaches in Tiny Twp. Revenue generation opportunities exist while also restoring historic public access to their beaches, which have remained mostly inaccessible to non-waterfront residents and visitors alike since the pandemic.

This is a positive move forward for all of North Simcoe and Tiny Council is to be applauded for their position to review and potentially reinstate access the beautiful public beaches in their Township, once enjoyed barrier-free by locals and tourists for decades.

Watch the excerpt from their meeting below. Bravo to Deputy Mayor Miskimins for bringing this motion to the floor and for Mayor Evans and their Council for supporting it! I eagerly await their next steps.
