The Coldest Night of The Year, is a yearly fundraiser where the proceeds are directed to North Simcoe’s homeless shelter in Midland. The Guesthouse Shelter’s funding is 60% County of Simcoe and 40% private donations, bequests and fundraising initiatives like this one. The event wraps up with a walk this Saturday February 25th at 5pm.

I have formed a team and am trying to reach a goal of $5000. I am half-way there with two days to go. Please consider sponsoring me and helping to fund the shelter for 2023. The goal is to keep their doors open 24/7 (which requires additional staff/volunteers) which will provide access to valuable wrap-around daytime programs like job skills development, psychotherapy / counselling, addiction treatment, housing supports – all which rely on the building being open during the day. In addition, having the doors open allows for access to toilets.
